I thought I wouldn't like this movie but as it turned out, this was actually pretty enjoyable to watch. Simon Pegg (with his trademark quirkiness), has that rare talent and the imagination, to turn any mundane situation into something ridiculously extraordinary. I also love the fact that, like director Kevin Smith, he likes working/casting the same pool of actors in his films, namely Bill Nighy, who only had a bit part in the film but is always a treat watching that his appearance alone made this movie worth watching. Aside from Pegg usual cast of misfits, like always hilarious Nick Frost and ubber talented Martin Freeman, Jim Broadbent (whom I adore from Bridgette Jones and the Harry Potter series) was an inspired choice. He's an understated character actor but has such a wonderful presence that he can only make a movie better because he's just that brilliant. Overall, if you're already a fan of Pegg's films, you can easily appreciate this one; if not, this was still pretty entertaining, in a weird and fun kind of way.
