Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Dylan M — 02 Jan 2016
Hot Fuzz is the second installment in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy and in my opinion, better than Shaun of the Dead. Simon Pegg plays a big time London policeman. But when he gets promoted to Sergeant, he is transferred to a small town where everyone there is a bit out of the ordinary.
Hot Fuzz is the perfect buddy cop comedy. Edgar Wright directs another beauty of film in Hot Fuzz. This is the kind of comedy that's good. An amusing plot that is entertaining with likable characters that engages with the audience.
The films dialogue is quite fun once again with Frost and Pegg. The two are perfect in this film and will have you laughing the entire movie. The action in the movie is very well choreographed as well and is very entertaining.
My only flaw with Hot Fuzz is the run time. I feel the last 20 minutes stretched on for a bit too long and they could have just wrapped up the movie a bit sooner. But aside from that I loved Hot Fuzz.
Suspense, uncertainty, and an interesting twist make the film fun to watch. It brings energy, action, and many laughs for you to enjoy one fun movie.
