Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Critic M — 27 Sep 2013
"Hot Fuzz" is perfect for when you have no idea what type of movie you want to watch. The hammock film that hangs between "Shaun of the Dead" & " The World's End" is a murder mystery/comedy with bloodshed sprinkled throughout.
Once again we see the ending pushes a bit too far into absurdity, but honestly I wouldn't want it any other way. These films are a strange exception when it comes to the rules of filmmaking. They have their own formula and it works.
