Review of Hot Fuzz (2007) by Francisco G — 12 Mar 2015
After the amazing Shaun of the Dead, Edgar Wright focused his attention to the over the top action movies of the 80s and early 90s with, with plenty of bromance and bombastic action. Hot Fuzz continues the tradition of his previous movie, by not only respecting the source material tremendously well but by also giving us a bunch of characters so well fleshed out that almost all the rest becomes secondary.
The plot mixes well over the top storytelling with some more intimate moments, all glued very well with humor and wit. Couldn't help but feel that some elements of the secondary cast could have something better to do during the whole thing but what you get is solid enough.
