Review of Hot Dog... The Movie (1984) by Mike L — 27 Aug 2009
If for no other reason David Naughton shows that a cheesy 70's song ( Makin It) and being a Dr. Pepper commercial guy, can lead to Hollywood success.
Fresh off of his American Werewolf in London role, Mr. Naughton made this 80's sex teen comedy. The highlights would include; the great mountain snowcaps of the Colorado Rockys, the equally majestic peaks of Shannon Tweed and Tracy Smith, and a killer 80's downhill skiing montage while Mitch Ryders version of Prince's "When You Were Mine" played to 80's glory. Unfortunately Mr. Ryders version went unnoticed as it was deemed to Blues to be cool during this time.
