Especially nice performances by Christian. Bale and Rosamund Pike and beautiful western scenes make this an engrossing experience.This is one of the few films that show native Americans more realistically- and in more subtle and sympathetic characterizations.
The title is misleading, as this is not a shoot-up western; it is more concerned with character development, from beginning to end and avoids tasteless ugliness.
