I've heard it compared to Eastwood's Unforgiven, and on some accounts I have to agree, but overall, I felt this story was a little more compelling. Christian Bale did an excellent job and carried it in most scenes.
Rosamund Pike did a very solid job as well as the frontier wife/mother. A little dark, but very well done.
