Review of Hostiles (2017) by Felix M — 31 Mar 2018
The film is extremely slow-paced, which suits the topic and the setting. It deals with the complicated cycle of hatred and violence between Asian and European settlers of the American continent. It delves into the severe psychological effects of the carnage that comes with so much bloodshed and loss.
Stellar performances by Bale and Studi. An all-around good drama, though some of it could've been cut.
