Some watchers have called this boring, but I think people need to understand this is not some shoot-em-up Clint Eastwood spaghetti western. It's much more existential and has been likened to "Heart of Darkness.
" The story is much more about the characters and their psychological journey than it is about gun fights. I LOVED IT. I love Rosamund PIke; she can do no wrong. And Bale was very good. He played it in an understated way which people may criticize, but it was AUTHENTIC to the character.
So... Anyway, Loved it.
