Review of Hostel: Part III (2011) by Mark G — 05 Jan 2012
Boring waste of time that could've been any old generic horror. The only thing that really made it part of the Hostel franchise (other than the name, obviously) was the bloodhound symbol.
If the change of location to now being set in Vegas isn't enough of a warning that the film is going to be completely out of touch with what the first 2 were all about, then the lack of any visceral moments in the torture scenes will alienate fans of the previous movies.
Oh, and when I say 'torture' I am taking the piss...death by cockroaches? Fuck off, this is supposed to be a Hostel flick not Dr. Phibes (which is an awesome film and way better than this nonsense).
The only good moment was the 'switcheroo' at the start. After that it was just tiresome.
