Review of Hostel: Part II (2007) by Jacopo G — 28 May 2010
I don't care what people say, with Part II Eli Roth takes it to the next level. Zombie maestro Romero stated that Hostel was lacking in metaphors, but I'm assuming that he hadn't seen Hostel: Part II when he said it.
Okay, we can say that there's too much gore, that Eli Roth pushes it too far, but that's exactly what he was trying to do so we can't really blame him for succeeding, can we? It's a little more slow-paced than the first, despite that, it never failed to entertain me with by far the best dialogue I've seen in a Roth's movie.
I guess his acquaintances are starting to pay off.
