I really don't mind a slasher film as long as there is a solid plot and good acting to keep me interested. But violence for the shock factor is not my thing, the plot is really nothing new and the violence felt like they just want to see how far they could go to shock the audience.

I guess with so many gory slasher movies the new film makers are trying to push the envelope...but blood and violence isn't scary to me, it's just sick.
