The plot doesn't give audiences a care in the world for the characters. However, it is great to see Eli Roth take time to expose an underworld of Europe, only to introduce an even worse one. The underlying lesson on sex trade and Hostel serving as the mental manifestation of the girls that go through it is one that almost provokes thought, but is instead a simple exposure.
