A bloody, violent, somewhat horrifying film about torture pretty much. It's pretty tough to watch at times. What makes the movie somewhat bothersome is the desperation you feel for the characters. If you feel for characters the movie has some influence. Just like Jaws made you not want to swim, Hostel made me not want to travel abroad. Not comparing the two just saying the Point is the same in the movie affected me which means it did it's job.

All that being said a movie about people being butchered up and tortured is only good for one viewing in my opinion.
