Review of Hostel (2006) by Ab — 08 Sep 2007
It is surprising that "Hostel" was advertised as a particularly shocking horror film; it turns out to be standard horror fare: it is boring, fairly gory, and has no plot whatsoever. And, of course, it is not scary.
Its only merit is that, although it is sharply degrading (especially toward women and children), it is not as offensive as its preposterous sequel.
