Review of Hostage (2005) by Philip G — 23 May 2008
This is a pretty decent suspense-thriller, let down by the last third. Willis, this time, is on the outside, on the phone to someone inside (smart brat Jimmy Bennett). Unfortunately, no Alan Rickman on hand; the main baddie keeps a balaclava on throughout, despite setting up a clue to his identity (the watch).
A similar opportunity to do something clever (with two versions of Heaven Can Wait) was also ignored.
