Review of Horse Feathers (1932) by Rachel D — 13 Nov 2007
Here's my favorite scene from the film.
Groucho knocks the door.
Chico: "What's the password? Here, I give you a clue...it's a type of fish.".
Groucho: "A haddock!".
Chico: "Hey, I got a hadac!".
Groucho: "What do you take for a hadac?".
Chico: "Usually aspirin. Now listen, you can't come in here unless you say swordfish!! So...what's the password?".
Groucho: "Hey, I know!! Is it swordfish!?".
Chico:"Hey you guess it good!".
Chico comes out, they shake hands, Groucho goes inside and shuts the door behind him, Chico is locked out. He knocks the door.
Groucho: "What's the password?".
Chico: "Ooh, you no fool me, it's swordfish!".
Groucho: "No I got tired of that, I've changed it.".
Chico: "Well then what is it?".
Groucho: "Gee I dunno, I'd better come out there with you.".
He comes out and closes the door, locking both of them out.
