I wish this was funnier than it is. Horrible Bosses, a well-cast farce about three friends trying to kill each other's bosses, feels like the entire movie is improv-based. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It's tangible that the actors are having fun playing their roles (Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston, and Colin Farrell playing the kind of bosses that make you want to punch them in the face. They are all good.

) Bateman, Sudeikis, and Day are having fun doing ridiculous things, talking fast and loud just like so many characters from other comedy movies do. Why is it not as funny as it should be? It's all because of the incredibly racist, homophobic, and misogynistic script.

It's nasty, far-fetched, and doesn't even know where it wants to take us. There are a couple of funny jokes, but it all gets repetitive in the end. It could've been a better movie if it was entirely improvised.

Horrible Bosses wastes its talent and premise. Alas.
