Review of Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) by Mo-Jai M — 30 Dec 2014
This film was a worthy successor to 2011's Horrible Bosses delivered wholly predictable but hugely funny gags throughout. Sophistication was not expected for this film which can be a major problem but this particular brand of vulgar humour has been mastered here, with the three leads elevating it above vastly inferior comedies such as Sex Tape or Bad Neighbours.
Charlie Day and Jason Bateman, both from influential American TV comedies, shine here - Jennifer Aniston also proves a worthy member of the ensemble. Despite some shockingly wooden performances from Waltz and Pine, this was an enjoyable and funnier than most of the recent comedies of a similar ilk.
