Review of Horrible Bosses 2 (2014) by Serge L — 25 Feb 2016

The original 'Horrible Bosses' was fresh, inventive and funny throughout, cementing itself in my favorite collection of comedies. Its success always meant that a sequel was on the cards, although I would have preferred it if they had quit whilst they were well and truly ahead.

The sequel relies on much of the same formula and as a result is neither fresh or inventive. Gags are cliche and the banter between our three leads actually becomes tiresome at times. The new characters don't add all that much, instead just providing a basis for the story line.

Overall I would actually give the sequel a miss and stick to re-watching the original.
