Review of Horns (2013) by Josh O — 12 Nov 2014

Rather uneven and disappointing if you've read the novel but there's still enough to make it a worthwhile watch for genre fans. Strong performances from the cast, beautiful cinematography and production design but a rather weak script that isn't able to make the tones of the novel mesh well together.

Unfortunately it focuses more on the whodunnit than the themes of the novel but it still manages to be genre fun and weirdly intriguing. I wonder if I'd enjoy it more or less if I hadn't read the novel before hand.
