Review of Horns (2013) by Ian P — 12 Jan 2015
I was confuse on what is the real theme of this movie because it was a mixed themed of fantasy, thriller, action and romance movie jumbled into one that is Horns. First off, it has a nice story about good vs.
evil, redemption and love but it was long enough to be in almost 3 hours movie play. Then you have the million dollar act of Daniel Radcliffe as the lead actor which he showed depth to his act here and it was way beyond the Harry Potter series he played before.
He became matured in acting and keeps on evolving in his act. And lastly, we have the entertainment value of the movie about dark fantasy and romance which Horns tried to show in the duration on the movie in which I find it succeeds but it still struggle to find its definite theme of comedy, romance, fantasy, mystery and drama while persuading that everybody is a liar and inherently evil.
This movie was adapted from a novel by Joe Hill of the same title.
