Review of Horns (2013) by Jelikal C — 21 Jan 2015
I highly recommend seeing it. It's story was solid. The acting was surprisingly very strong, especially given the sudden attitude and role changes almost all the actors had to portray throughout the film.
There were one or two moments of but not so much as to interfere with the story or make it seem it was gore for the sake of gore, which is rather refreshing for movies these days. other scenes of violence were right along with the plot and not overdone.
Basically the director, Alexandre Aja, kept a very good balance of imagery and mood and expressed the storyline extremely well. I have seen some reviewers focus on the satanic aspect of the movie. While it can come across this way, it is more a holy and satanic working together or holy allowing satanic to dominate for the greater good.
This is very evident later in the movie.
