Review of Horns (2013) by Drago? C — 08 Feb 2015
Nowhere near a masterpiece Horns is nonetheless a satisfying tone switching supernatural-detective-comedy-thing. Daniel Radcliffe pulls off a satisfying american accent, the scenery is gorgeous and the movie wears its devilish metaphor on the nose but stays engaging. The only few issues more serious I can raise vs. the movie is its jarring, over-long flashbacks and misuse of a great character set-up on a 'manic pixie dream girl' solution. Ah well.
Generally satisfying horns ain't great but is perhaps worth renting.
