Review of Hope Springs (2012) by Heidi K — 25 Sep 2012
Enjoyable, passes the time kind of film. A movie for grown ups, though - think teenagers may find it a bit 'Mum and Dad being embarassing'!! Wife persuades husband to go (expensive) marriage counselling, first saying they don't talk to each other etc but it soon descends into the lack of passion left in their marriage and **spoiler alert** while this is focussed on by the counseller and ultimately rekindled, I was left think 'they may have rediscovered their sexual love for each other, but what about the rest of a loving marriage?' Good performances, as ever, by both Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones.
