This is what most of us will (or are going) go through... so we better laugh about it! Much better than I anticipated, even with a script that's fairly straightforward and follows the traditional rom com recipe.

What makes it better than many other rom coms are subtle, intelligent and funny dialogues and incredible performances by Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. Steve Carell is very good too. The chemistry between Streep and Jones is visible and their experience in expressing subtle emotions through body language is a pleasure to watch.

The topic, relationships in the 55+ age group is usually not a Hollywood favourite because commercially more risky. This is unfortunate because this film is proof that it can be interesting and entertaining.
