Steve Carrell was the best part of this movie. I simply cannot accept M. Streep as a simpering wife who occasionally stands up to her bullying husband, played by the usually appealing T.L. Jones. Carrell is warm and understated and believable.
Nice scene with Elisabeth Shue.
