Review of Hope Springs (2012) by John B — 22 Oct 2013
The film itself is decently interesting, even if the story is a touch bland. However, whatever concentration on the narrative I had was repeatedly shattered by increasingly awkward discussions of marital intimacy between the leads and their therapist, played by Carell.
I mean, I'm not easily made uncomfortable, but this certainly didn't feel like a PG-13 movie.
