Review of Hope Springs (2012) by Ian G — 17 Nov 2013
An average film that was brought up from mediocraty thanks to the great chemistry and solid performances from the ever reliable Streep and Lee Jones as a stuck in the rut blue hair couple who attend couple counselling in an effort to reignite their marriage.
The formula is another one of those natuealistic dramedies that Carrell seems to be brought into that normally underperform but he made the right choices in stepping up the supporting/lead cast to help bring in the blue hair set and also help you cheer for a happy ending.
Nothing memorable but defintely drives it home better than one might have expected.
