Innocuous and occasionally charming, this fills the "Easter movie" void adequately enough for the kiddies, but doesn't have the same appeal to grown-ups as many of its "family film" contemporaries.
Kudos to James Marsden for giving it his all, and to Russell Brand for toning down his schtick with his amusing voicework.
