Review of Hop (2011) by Christine S — 03 Sep 2012

I highly recommend this movie for 4-year-olds and those completely void of any class and taste in movies whatsoever. The concept is unoriginal in many ways (the rebellious teen, the Spanish-speaking sidekick, stealing the show from Santa, and the Charlie's Angels' reference with the 'Pink Berets') the animation/live action combo is a flop, and the music placement is inappropriate for the action taking place in the scenes. E.B. walking through Hollywood to 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn'? HELL NO.

The only star I am giving this film is for the animation aspect - I understand that it isn't easy to design nor computerize animals for a film.

Overall thoughts: live action + animation = JUST DON'T DO IT.

There is no toilet big enough to dispose of the amount of shit that this film produces... including "E.B." 's jelly bean fecal matter. WHAT?!?!
