If you get past the weepy sentimental stuff there's still a great story underneath that as a child instilled a huge passion for Barrie's original works. It has its moments of brilliance and for me its the score that makes this emotional in places.
.(obviously reminded me of childhood). Its interesting that if you loved this as a child it doesn't' seem to matter that the script is mostly bland and most of the acting awful. Who cares, it's f*cking Hook and it stays with you forever.
