Review of Hook (1991) by Benjamin L — 21 May 2017
Most of you people forget what makes this movie a cult classic. Apart from the cast (which was very well put together), the movie designers created a truly imaginative environment, staying true to the lightheartedness that I grew up with after reading the stories, and then the movie. Higher up on the list, the story is as inviting as the world it's set in, enveloping us in a story of the meaning of family, friendship, the truth of taking a role of "dad", and even the importance of the happy thought. Truly an original family movie you can watch again and again.
P.S. you know the critics are wrong when more people like the movie than the critics do.
