Review of Hook (1991) by Philip N — 04 Mar 2012
This is an interesting alternative to the classic story of Peter Pan. The film is set way after the original events as Peter and Wendy have left Neverland growing up in the real world. However, Peter has forgotten everything he once knew and has to remember in order to rescue his children from Hook.
Thankfully the lost boys are around in order to look after Peter and refresh his long lost memories of Neverland once he enters their territory. Peter has never been there for his son Jack and so Hook plays on this and makes him feel loved.
It is down to Peter to defeat Hook and win back his son's love. Watch out for the appearance of Phil Collins. Give it a watch as it is one of those good wee family movies and Robin Williams does his usual good performance!
