Review of Hoodwinked! (2005) by Scott A — 23 Aug 2013
Check off another one on the always wanted to see list. I always knew this was about Little Red Riding Hood, but never knew it was more of an episode of CSI with those characters in it, as someone is stealing everyone's food recipes and driving all the businesses to close. The cops basically question all four suspects and we see back stories of how each got into Grandma's house.
I actually liked all the voice talent, with Belushi and Warburton being the standouts. The Frog voice was good too, but I felt the whole time it had to be Anthony Hopkins, but it wasn't, so bummer.
I will say the animation tends to look cheap though, as the facial expressions aren't as great as the could be maybe with more advanced computer effects, or maybe that was the point?
Points to an early singing Anne Hathaway, some seven years before she would win an Oscar for doing it.
