Ok so this movie didn't have the technique of american gangster, but I think this is what scott was tyring to do when he did american gangster if I recall, the guy who plays bumpy is the sell out in this movie! it is also based on a true story, but for me this captured the essence of its time and Fishburne gave a killer performance and you can never go wrong wit Tim Roth either, one of the most underrated actors of his generation!
