Review of Honeymoon (2014) by Jon C — 25 Jan 2015
Really a disturbing, psychologically unnerving film about holy matrimony and how it starts to fall apart.
The cast is unknown but this couple couldn't be happier after just getting married and spending a quiet weekend at the lake in the woods.
Unfortunately, things start to get strange when Bea goes into the woods one night and ends up with strange corrosions on her thighs.
Her husband Paul is desperate to find an answer of what happened.
This movie makes you flinch once you see the reveal of the trauma caused.
But thankfully this sort-of-low-budget flick uses dark shadows, bright lights, and thoughts that go back and forth.
Was it a stranger? a monster? an alien? or a ghost?
It's very sad seeing this couple go at each other's throats deciding what's the bigger concern.
Another rare gem of a horror movie that doesn't have to get by using cheap scare tactics and big special effects.
The mind is a scary place when you start to doubt who your significant other is and why they are that way.
With it being just the two of them things spiral out of control in their relationship.
A creepy crawler of a movie.
