Review of Honeydripper (2007) by Chad J — 02 Nov 2007
I would rather be thrown under a moving train than watch this movie again. The story was the most cliche thing I have ever seen in recent memory. As bad as this sounds, it was like a worse version of Idlewild.
That's right, I said it. A mediocre movie starring OutKast is better than this crap. The music was really good, and uh... the... sets were...accurate to the time period? I just can't say much on the positive side.
Oh yeah, my favorite part of the movie was a part where a woman screams, but her scream is a shrill note played on a saxophone. That's it. The production value was like that of a direct to TV movie.
Crazy thing was, seeing John Sayles speak about this movie, you'd think he's talking about something else since he makes it sound so good.
