Review of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989) by Troy F — 10 May 2012
Honey, I Shrunk The Kids had some lavish special effects for the time and I can see that's what wowed audiences in 1989. However now that the film has dated itself, I'm able to look at the film aside from the special effects and see that it's not all as adventurous and exciting as it could've potentially been.
It's almost rather dull actually, though it can be fun. Best way to sum it up is: you'll remember the film for it's special effects (which though dated can be acknowledged today for it's excellence when originally released), but you'll remember "very" little of anything else.
.. except a few comedic parts with Rick Moranis!
