Review of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (1989) by Angela K — 24 Apr 2011
This film is funny! When I first started watching the film I thought it wasn't going to be good because it was an older film but it turned out to be one very good film. The scientist guy named Wayne Szalinski has created this machine that he cannot seem to get it working it right; all it does is blow things up. But the best part of the film is when the kids get shrunken and they have the craziest adventure of their life.
When the kids are 1/4-inch tall they are thrown out into the garbage and that is when the fun begins. The four kids try to find their way back to their house but they have to go through the back yard. It's a jungle to them because they are so small. While watching this film I thought about how fun it would be if I was that small and I could run through the tall grass and it would be a jungle to me. Then after the thought was processed I changed my mind and I defiantly would not want to be this small EVER!
All four of the kids had their own ups and downs trying to get back home, but it made them all stronger because they know now how to defend themselves next time a humongous aunt comes along. This film was a great film, it kept me wanting more when it was finished.
