Review of Honey (2010) by Mohamed F — 19 Nov 2010
The perfect finale for the trilogy and the best installment in all aspects.
From the very first minute in the movie you start feeling bittersweet because you know exactly what happened to that little boy and how he turned out to be from the previous movies, and now that you see all that warmth in the final one which depicts his childhood, you couldn't help but have sympathy for that little fella.
The movie's narrative was much better than the other two, especially since it had more human connections and emotions, which also meant better characters.
The cinematography on this movie is one of the greatest I've ever seen in my life, I could consider it to be on par with the works of Christopher Doyle, the cinematographer captured the beautiful rural landscapes perfectly, aided a lot by the brilliant framing of Kaplanoglu, which made this movie a very important study material for frame composition.
