A dull re-run of everything you've already seen in "Step Up", "How She Move", plus Britain's own "StreetDance", which the screenwriters shamelessly rip off, assuming American audiences won't have seen it.
.. None of this will presumably matter to the target audience of 11-year-old girls with dreams of making it in the big city and winning the heart of Aston from JLS, but it plods on forever, spunking whatever energy it has on the dance scenes, and prolonging the climactic dance-off to a frankly absurd degree, given the inherent lack of tension over the outcome.
The celebrity cameos in this final 45 minutes are diverting, and utter piffle: any theatrical release that concludes its opening credits with the words "featuring Audrina Patridge and Mario Lopez" is surely punching some way below its weight.
