Review of Hondo (1953) by Sean C — 23 May 2009
As far as westerns go this one is right in the middle. Where it works is with some decent plotting and Indian characters who have way more personality then they did in other films of the time. Action scenes vary from crap to good.
This was Al Bundy's favorite film, which is why I saw it. I can see why he dug it because John Wayne is like a successful Al Bundy in this flick.
