(1953) Hondo.

ADULT WESTERN.

Taken from a short story written by Louis L'Amour originally called "The Gift of Cochise" and then changed to "Hondo" once the movie was released! And of course, the story was adapted to fit John Wayne's hard edge persona! Not bad film that has more story that is involving than action about Wayne as Hondo as a drifter building rapport(repoire) with Angie Lowe played very well by Geraldine Page living alone with her son with more revelations as the story proceeds, very involving! Looks great because of the long Western landscapes! And the idea of having a dog as a companion was such an awesome idea!

3 out of 4.
