Review of Homicide: The Movie (2000) by Pavandeep S — 11 Nov 2009
Intense, deep film that raises several complex issues involving racism, anti semitism, and finding your true identity. It seems to present a very accurate view of police work, based on my limited knowledge of how police work is done.
The dialogue is well written, tho at times their delivery seems stagey and forced, not 100% natural, thof thats Mamet for you. Based off Chicago tho its filmed in baltimore. I was pissed of at something a main character did, tho it wasnt unexpected or out of character.
Still a very interesting film.
