Review of Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993) by Sarah E — 03 Dec 2010
Homeward Bound is one of those movies that, while imperfect, has so much bittersweet sentimentality that it makes me very, very happy and very, very sad in the same beautiful instant. The voice actors really carry the movie.
They have to; the animals themselves are fine performers, but they are lacking in the ability to deliver dialogue. Ultimately, it's one of the few movies from my childhood that I continue to watch and enjoy in adulthood.
What greater compliment is there than that?
