Review of Homefront (2013) by Brett H — 31 Jan 2014

I'm always game for a Jason Statham vehicle and was curious to see this film as it was written by Stallone and was originally planned as a Rambo sequel! It turns out to be fairly average stuff where a whole town turns on one man, but Statham is such a powerhouse action star, I could watch him for hours doing his thing.

The fight scenes (though few) are intense and I love the way Statham beats the crap out of people. The supporting cast is curious with James Franco as the main antagonist and Kate Bosworth pulling an unrecognizable performance from left-field as a tweaker! It's an enjoyable watch that is adequately put-together and is great for at-home viewing.
