Review of Homefront (2013) by Brandon T — 16 Feb 2014
A great old school action thriller penned by the legendary Sylvester Stallone, Homefront tells the story of an undercover cop trying to live a normal life in a hick town. Unsurprisingly things go wrong.
Yes it is clichéd but it's all done so well. You could see Sly in this role 20 years ago. Apparently it was originally going to be the fourth Rambo film which I would very much have liked to see.
To be fair Jason Statham does a fine job, and James Franco is equally unsettling as the towns crime boss. It's certainly worth a watch for all old school action fans.
