Review of Homefront (2013) by Bruce B — 13 Sep 2014

Homefront is definitely one of the best movies Jason Statham has stared in in quite some time. The role once again catered perfectly to him but the supporting cast was fantastic. Though they didn't get much screen time, Kate Bosworth and James Franco both gave fantastic performances and they allowed Statham to do what he does best.

.. kick ass! The plot developed well, the story was engaging, and the fight scenes were typical Statham awesomeness. The only weak points were in the ending home invasion sequence (it felt a bit overkill, no pun intended) and the premise of Statham's character's identity being discovered.

Franco was trying to scare him. Why start snooping through hundreds of files? That didn't make sense but it was easily ignored by most I would expect. Nonetheless, really good film.
