I'm sorry but have Dan Mazer and crew seen the original Home Alone?? This film completely loses sight of what made that movie so special, replacing it all with stupid slapstick humour and a hollow core.
One of the worst directed films I've seen in a while with an abysmal script and really poor performances. Cheaply made and factory produced, there was next to no effort made into making this. Easily the worst movie of the year thus far.
